So it begins..

Ok, let's see where this will lead..

Suddenly I start this blog. And why?
Well, I have an interest I want to share. My interest in miniatures.

For many years now, I've been collecting dollshouse stuff. As a child I played a lot with small dolls, bult houses of rhubarb leaves, twigs and moss, sew and chrocheted small clothes and dreamt of the grand Victorian Playmo House in the toy store. And later, when I could by things on my own and play an adult, the interest crept up on me again.
I don't remember exactly what little thing started the whole collection, but now, 29 years old, I find myself with quite a collection of doll house things and also many collections of ideas that have grown over the years; the houses I will build and the dolls I will make.
I know I want to try and keep to the 1:12 scale. It feels a good size, and very common (and therefore also attainable) around the world.
But, what sort of house do I want? What style? Or styles? Where will I begin?

And it's starting to fall to place.. a mix of a love for nordic old country style (my translation of the swedish word "allmoge"), the beauty of vintage, the rawness of the medieval times, the possibilities of fairytales and the mystic of nature magic.
I want to start building my first house!

I've been so inspired so many times when losing myself on the web searching for dollhouses, fairies, tutorials on mini's, pictures of creations etc. And since I will only develop this interest by collecting more things and making my own creations I thought I'd share this with others like me searching for inspiration out there.

Ok, lets begin!
